Diondawah Falls on The Battenkill River is one of the most exciting parts of the river and among the most beautiful water falls in all of New York state.

One of the most dramatic and beautiful portions on The Battenkill River is just down stream of the town of Greenwich NY and hamlet of Middle Falls. Diondawah falls, aka “The Hell Hole” as many locals refer to it is a hidden gem that even many locals have not experienced. The falls can safely be viewed from a train and walkway on Windy hill road, near the Washington county fairgrounds.
